I see you are close to the center of the universe there, so it's likely different here on the west coast. I have my stock 92TT insured with Canada Direct (CDI). I have had two claims for attempted theft, both were handled very well. I was also with ING but CDI was cheaper. They did NOT ask me if it was stock, modified, or anything. Year and model, TT or NA was the only thing they asked. Good luck.
